UPC Blanket Covers East Point in Free Public Wi-Fi
From today, some 50 companies and 6,000 workers at the East Point Business Park in Dublin will have access to a free outdoor public Wi-Fi network.
The new Wi-Fi service is powered by UPC and has been launched by Dublin’s Lord Mayor Oisín Quinn, EastPoint park manager Jane Cross, and CEO of UPC Ireland, Magnus Ternsjö.
The new outdoor Wi-Fi service will be available across the 40-acre park area, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Ternsjö said the new network will improve the attractiveness of East Point for companies thinking of locating a base there.
“We’re delighted that EastPoint is the first office park in Ireland to be fully Wi-Fi enabled, thanks to UPC Business,” Cross said.
“We have enjoyed a long relationship with UPC, having their Irish head office in the park, and this new service is a fantastic and welcome addition to the existing range of on-site amenities available to employees and visitors, which makes their experience here even more rewarding.”
