MRIA Ocean Energy Industry Forum on Friday, February 7th
Pat Rabbitte TD, Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, will open the Marine Renewables Industry Association’s 5th annual Ocean Energy Industry Forum, sponsored by the ESB, on Friday, February 7th. Major and long- awaited policy progress in ocean energy in the Republic of Ireland is likely to be a highlight (significant policy and practical progress in Northern Ireland was a feature of last year’s event).
The theme of this year’s Forum is ‘Technology and Policy Perspectives’. The first session will focus on technology developments, particularly by companies who have not briefed previous Forums while the second session will concentrate on policy developments on the island of Ireland and abroad (including speakers from Canada, Scotland and the EU). The Programme for the Forum- currently being finalised – is our biggest and best yet and will be circulated soon. We have an excellent line up of speakers and, in fact, there is a waiting list. If you haven’t already notified us about your attendance at the Forum, it would be very helpful if could do so now by emailing chairman@mria.ie.
The Forum will be held in the Alexander Hotel, Dublin on Friday, 7th February 09.00 to 14.00 inclusive of a light lunch. Admission is free – but, of course, the Association reserves the right to refuse entry.
