Avaya creating 75 new jobs in Galway as it expands R&D
Technology company Avaya is to create 75 new highly skilled roles at its customer engagement centre in Galway as it expands its research and development (R&D) function there.
The positions Avaya wants to fill in Galway include engineering, finance, IT and administration roles.
The expanded team will focus on developing business critical customer and team engagement technologies and next generation networking products.
Avaya currently employs over 400 people in Galway, 245 of which are engaged in R&D activities. The investment is supported by IDA Ireland.
Viewed as one of the world’s most innovative technology companies, Avaya holds 5,934 patents and patent applications worldwide.
It has been named one of the World’s Top 100 Most Innovative Organizations by Thomson Reuters three out of the last four years.
