Aerogen to represent Ireland in top European Business Awards
Aerogen, the global leader in aerosol drug delivery, has been named as a Ruban d’Honneur recipient for excellence in innovation and financial success in the prestigious 2015/2016 RSM European Business Awards. Aerogen will now represent Ireland in the final to become overall “Entrepreneur of the Year”.
The prestigious accolade comes as Aerogen, which employs over 100 people in Ireland, reported 30% business growth year on year for the past eight years, surpassing annual growth targets. Having invested over €40 million in creating a breakthrough high performance nebuliser and setting a new standard of aerosol drug delivery in critical care, Aerogen products are supplied to over 75 countries and to date have benefited over three million patients worldwide.
On the back of two new product launches in 2015 the company’s Aerogen Solo alongside the recently released “Aerogen Ultraproduct”, as of 2016 are being used for aerosol drug delivery in both the Operating Room and the Emergency Department. This now gives Aerogen acute care users the ability to offer the same clinical benefits to patients in these departments as well as ICU. This is part of the company’s diffusion strategy which today sees a new patient introduced to Aerogen technology every 30 seconds.

As Europe’s largest and most significant cross-sector business recognition programme, the European Business Awards comprise three rigorous judging phases. Aerogen is one of only two Irish companies chosen from 678 other National Champions from across Europe to receive the Ruban d’Honneur, which was conferred in recognition of its enterprise expansion, innovation and success.
Now in its 9th Year, the European Business Awards were created to celebrate and promote business success and support the development of a stronger and more successful business community throughout Europe. It attracted over 32,000 businesses to the competition last year and in the public vote generated over 170,000 votes from across Europe.
