The best of Irish technology to be awarded tonight at the Irish Software Awards 2015
Tonight (20 November), the Irish Software Association’s (ISA) annual awards ceremony will celebrate the best of this sector. The ceremony will take place at the Double Tree Hotel, in the city centre.
Each year, companies that have achieved exceptional success and developed innovative technologies and partnerships are awarded in front of an audience of over more than leading influencers and decision-makers from the industry.
US based founder and CEO of Automattic Inc. Matt Mullenweg will be the keynote speaker at the event and broadcaster Sharon Ní Bheoláin will be MC for the evening. Five companies have been shortlisted for ISA Digital Technology Company of the Year: Fenergo, Asavie, Qstream, Globoforce, and Ocuco with these Irish companies employing over 850 people.
Director of the ISA Paul Sweetman said:
“The software and digital technology sector in Ireland is thriving. Year-on-year, stellar companies are entering the Awards and 2015 is no exception. Nearly 70 tech companies and organisations from across Ireland entered this year’s awards and it is the tireless efforts of workers in these companies that bring Ireland to the fore of the global technology sector.”
All companies will present to eight independent panels of judges, composed of CEOs and founders of successful Irish software and digital technology companies.
The work of four academic institutions and researchers has also been recognised with the Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC), the Insight Centre for Data Analytics at DCU, the Irish Centre for Cloud Computing and Commerce (IC4) and Trinity College Dublin (TCD) also nominated for Outstanding Academic Achievement of the Year.
